Young Adults Social Anxiety Group

Social anxiety can feel unstoppable. You avoid social gatherings, you don't speak up. You feel like every word you say, how you dress, and your behavior is being judged. It's no wonder you'd rather stay home!

You have a choice.

Join our social anxiety group for young adults. You will learn practical skills to help you meet and mingle with others, learn how to engage in small talk, improve your ability to work in groups, and prepare for job interviews.

Your confidence will grow and you'll be able to pursue the life you want.

Okay, that sounds good, but what exactly happens in the group?

Each group will consist of learning new skills and practicing the skill. The benefit to doing that in a group setting is that you know everyone in the room struggles with social anxiety and you will not be judged. You will learn from others how they use their new coping mechanisms.

The first session

During the first session, we will make name cards, introduce ourselves, and create group rules. I will provide some education on social anxiety and you can indicate which parts of social anxiety affect you. If you know your name and can indicate agreement or disagreement then you have everything you need to conquer social anxiety.

What if I'm already in individual therapy?

It's completely okay to attend this group while being in individual therapy with a different therapist.

When, where, and how much?

Groups will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in Richardson, TX near 75 and Campbell or Renner.

Cost is $50 per session for six sessions. Payment is mandatory even if you don't attend all sessions.

The groups have a rolling start date and the next group will start as soon as we have six people ready to confront their fears and embrace their life.
