Depression
Just getting out of bed is a big deal.
If you're living with depression, you don't have the energy to read a long description about what you're feeling. You already know how much it sucks.
Depression is so much more than sadness. It is despair. It is oppressive.

It steals your passion and motivation. It takes your energy and your creativity. Most importantly depression steals your hope.

Maybe you've tried medication and/or therapy before and maybe that helped for a while, but the depression came back. It's not unusual to live with depression for so long that it feels sort of comfortable, like a default state of mind.
Maybe you can’t imagine a world where you feel better. Maybe you’re not sure whether your loved ones would be better off without you (call 911, the national suicide hotline, or report to the closest emergency room if you're feeling that way).

You're loved ones don't understand. They suggest that you just need to smile more and you’ll feel better. Or “you shouldn't be depressed, you have so much going for you." You know they mean well, but you only feel more alone and isolated.

It doesn't have to be that way. Let us help you find the best way to rescue yourself from the hopeless desperation of depression.
