Brenda Bagherpour, LCSW

Maybe you’ve tried counseling and feel like it didn’t work or you haven’t quite found the right person that you feel comfortable with. But, you are ready for change.

I am here for you. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2010. I have spent my career working mostly with adults in medical settings. I have a wide range of experience from working with women and children who experienced domestic violence and helping families navigate the practical and emotional aspects of raising children with special needs. So, I understand both situational and long-term depression and anxiety.

My style of therapy is interactive, compassionate, and builds on YOUR strengths. My approach is eclectic, depending on what works for you. Some of the evidence-based practices that I use are client-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral; and acceptance and commitment.

A little about me: I love animals and have three dogs. I also love to do creative projects around my home (painting a wall here and there brings me joy). Having a creative outlet is personally important to me and I am able to use it as a gauge to understand my mental state (i.e. if I am not expressing myself creatively, I know that there is something bothering me and I need to do some self-exploring and personal work). With that being said, I hope to help YOU identify your own triggers and gauges that you can utilize to help decrease anxiety and depression and bring joy back into YOUR life.
